Ravindra Jadeja, popular Indian cricketer, has been a consistent target of sarcasm and jokes by cricket fans. These jokes and sarcasm started mostly after the game against England during the ICC T20 world-cup back in 2009 when he was promoted up the order during a chase of 154 runs and struggled to a 35-ball 25 as India eventually lost by three runs. Jadeja was only 20 years old then but since then he became the butt of many jokes all over social media. After that match, he had achieved a lot of things and played crucial roles in many victories but the never-ending sarcasm didn’t stop.

Indian team in 2012 London Olympic Games has got itself drawn into a controversy after a mysterious woman was found to be marching along with Beijing Games bronze medalist Sushil Kumar the Flag Bearer at the Olympics Parade. Nobody knows about her.

All men among the 81 strong Indian contingents wore traditional blazers and Rajasthani yellow turbans while the female athletes wore yellow sarees. The mystery woman dressed unusually in red T-Shirt and blue trousers.

Tendulkar was unbeaten on 33 as India reached 152-2 in their second innings at stumps on the third day after being set a challenging 276-run target to win the match on a low, slow pitch.

Sachin Tendulkar honoured with Group Captain rank by IAF

Senior Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was today conferred with the Indian Air Force’s honorary rank of Group Captain to honour his cricketing achievements and contribution to the nation.

Tendulkar is the first sports person to be conferred a rank by IAF and the first personality with no aviation background to receive the honour. The 37-year-old Tendulkar was inducted into the Air Force as its brand ambassador with IAF chief Air Chief Marshal P V Naik doing the honours in a glittering ceremony at the Air Force auditorium in New Delhi.
