ESPN BPL Football Manager - Fantasy Football

In less than 2 weeks, the 2012-13 season of the Premier League kicks off. So if you haven’t done so already, be sure to sign up for ESPN Football Manager - free fantasy version of Barclays Premier League.

Football Manager is barely back for couple of days and I’m already stressed. Picking the right team in limited budget is always a chellange. I would suggest that just fill up those 15 slots as quickly as you can and then start making the tough decision. It's not hard and it doesn't cost anything – plus there are some great prizes to win, so unless you're afraid of getting beaten I'm looking forward to seeing you in my league soon!!

ESPN BPL Football Manager - Week 17 - Team Selection Guide

After 2 months of break, I am back to my business. Let's visit last week's performance and get prepared for week 17th . Roonie is back in form. Liverpool won without Suarez and Sessegnon (Sunderland) was my favourite.

This week MCITY, MANU and Liverpool have easy games and they should win convinsingly.

1. J Hart (Manchester City)
2. Pepe Reina (Liverpool)
3. Mark Bunn (Norwich)

1. Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
2. G Holt (Nor - 12.5 points)
3. Van Parsie (MCITY)
4. Rooney (MU - 18 points)

1. Michu (Swansea - 12 points)

ESPN BPL Football Manager - Week 2 - Team Selection Guide

With gameweek 1 coming to a close, let's revisit last week's performance and get prepared for 2nd and 3rd week. Michu, Dyer (Swansea) and Hazard (Chelsea) were the real heroes in scoring and assisting goals.

Last week chelsea was my favourite team but this week they have only 1 game in 2nd week and no game in 3rd week. So I would suggest substitute all chelsea player after the next match on 25th August.

Best Team: In week 2 & 3, Swansea & Manchester City play twice and they are in very good form. So I would back these two team to gather most of the points in week 2 & 3.

Best Goal Keeper:
As Manchester City will play twice, J Hart (8.5 points) would be the safe bet. Don't worry about the point as we would take cheap mid-fielders this week.

Best Striker:
1. Petrick (Ful - 8 points)
2. G Holt (Nor - 12.5 points)
3. D Ba (New Castle -  15 points)
4. Tevez (MC - 17 points)
5. Rooney (MU - 18 points)

Best Midfielder:
1. Michu (Swansea - 12 points)
2. Dyer (Swansea - 9.5 points)
3. David Silva (MC - 15 points)
4. Nasri (MC - 14.5 points)
5. G Bell (Tot - 14.5 points)
6. Duff (Ful - 10 points)

Best Defender:
Select cheapest defenders so that you can accomodate above strikers and mid-fielders. Following are few suggestions:

1. Hangeland (Fulham - 5.5 points)
2. Chico (Swansea - 4.5 points)
3. Shawcross (Stock - 4.9 points)

Captain of the week:
Michu or Dyer as Swansea has 2 matches in week 2&3 and they are in excellent form.

ESPN BPL Football Manager - Week 1 - Team Selection Guide

Finally the first week of the 2012/13 fantasy premier league season is upon us! At this point most fantasy football managers may have picked their team and are still unsure if they have found their starting line up! The Unlimited Transfers rule before the season starts is great but it does make it difficult to settle on a team!

This guide will help you select a team for week 1 that will deliver for the first 3 weeks of the season.

Best Formation: The best formation to select for fantasy football is a 3-4-3 because over the last three seasons there have been a lot of goals in the premier league and more bonus points have been given to strkers and mid-fielders.

Best Team: In week 1, Chelsea & Reading play twice and all other teams play a single game. So I would back Chelsea to gather most of the points in week 1.

Best Goal Keeper:
You should choose a  good goal keeper so that you will never have to worry about using transfers with him. Following are the 2 best options:
1. T Krul (7 Points)
2. J Hart (8.5 points)

You can use a cheapest goal keeper as substitute.

Best Striker:
1. Torres (Chelsea - 16.5 points)
2. Rooney (MU - 18 points)
3. S. Aguero (MC - 17 points)
4.  Emmanuel Adebayor (MC - 16 points)
5. D Bent (Aston Villa - 12 points)
6. G Holt (Fullham - 12.5 points)
7. D Ba (New Castle -  15 points)

Best Midfielder:
1. David Silva (MC - 15 points)
2. J Mata (Chelsea - 14.5 points)
3. C Dempsey (Fullham - 13.3 points)
4. G Bell (Tot - 14.5 points)
5. Nani (MU - 14.3 points)
6. Cazorla (Arsenal - 12 points)
7. Cabaye (New Castle - 13 points)
8. Valencia (MU - 13.2 points)

Best Defender:
Select cheapest defenders so that you can accomodate above strikers and mid-fielders. Still I have done some research and found following cheap but good defenders:

1. Pearce (Reading - 4.3 points)
2. Hangeland (Fulham - 5.5 points)
3. Shawcross (Stock - 4.9 points)

Captain of the week:
Torres or Mata as Chelsea has 2 matches in week 1.
