The Social Network : Movie based on Facebook Founder's Life Story

The Social Network is movie based on the life of Mark Zuckerberg and tumultuous early years of his social networking website Facebook.com.  The movie’s story is adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires.

The film is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2010. The movie features how three colleagues of Mark blames him for stealing their ideas and code after they hired him to write the program for their own Harvard social network website.

 The Social Network Movie Plot::

Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) is an extremely bright Harvard student. One day he got an idea to collect all the pictures of under-graduate girls on campus and pit them against each other two at a time in a voting system to pick which one is more attractive. He designed the site and upload on college servers. Due to huge response from college students, the site crashes the school’s servers and catch the attention of aspiring olympians, the Winklevoss brothers. They asked Mark to code a Harvard specific networking site which he accepts. However, he gets inspired by the idea and begins his own work on a similar website with the help of his best friend Eduardo (Andrew Garfield). Eduardo provides Mark with the money he needs for the servers for the website and other essential things he needs to get the web site running, but the two have different ideas on how to expand the site once it takes off. From there Mark and Eduardo’s friendship begins a downward spiral with the addition of Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake) to the team, and the persistence of the Winklevoss’ anger towards Mark hijacking their idea.

The Social Network Movie Synopsis::

On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history… but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.
